Personal Training

Personal fitness training is the art and science of teaching correct and efficient movement in the pursuit of physical fitness. Clients often employ personal trainers to help improve their general fitness levels, weight management, sports-specific performance and post-rehabilitation routines, but the full range of personal training applications are virtually unlimited. Personal training activities may include weight training, body weight exercise, balance & stability training, stretching & mobility work, basic movement skill practice and cardiovascular exercise. A trainer-to-client ratio of 1-to-1 or 1-to-2 ensures that clients receive proper attention, instruction and direction during training sessions. Additionally, though sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, training time can be modified to meet each client's individual needs.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage can have long-term health benefits by helping individuals to improve their posture through stretching and muscle manipulation, reducing scar tissue after injury, and improving circulation, leading to improvements in the immune system. In an athletic context, massage helps manage muscle strength imbalance, moderate muscular aches and improve joint range of motion.

Postural Therapy

Runner

Postural therapists view the body as an integrated system - each of the parts affecting the whole. A postural therapist accurately measures the three-dimensional structure of the body and works to correct the imbalances or asymmetry that is present. Treating posture as the underlying cause of pain symptoms and diagnosed conditions often proves to be effective where other therapies have failed. Postural therapists may employ exercise, stretching and/or specific massage techniques to correct spine and joint misalignment, enhance biomechanical function and decrease or eliminate pain. Postural therapy has been used successfully in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, knee pain, migraine headaches, sports injuries, TMJ dysfunction, whiplash injury, frozen shoulder, low back pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, numbness and respiratory issues.
